I’m confident in my abilities and talent but am not arrogant about it. Understanding that most people are uncomfortable being in front of the camera, I’m very calming, reassuring and positive to work with. I adapt well and am patient, which allows me to adjust to any situation and challenge. My clients are sentimental, collect family photographs and wish to add their own keepsakes to the family history. One example of a family keepsake is a portrait book. Click here to view the digital book of my client's first newborn: Daniel. They value a professional level of service and reliability and can appreciate a good sense of humor. My approach to portraiture is the same with weddings, striving to “seize the moment” rather than “stage the moment”. I am an observer and listener first. Some of my favorite images occurred when my subject(s) weren’t aware of my presence. But there are times when I have to change tactics to engage my subjects. I recall one session with a 9 year old boy where I instigated this “one-uppance” challenge. I told him “You smell like turtle poop” then he would retaliate with “Well you smell like kitty poop” and we went on back and forth saying each other smelled like all sorts of animal poop! He gave me the best “laughing til your side hurt” shots that still make me smile and fondly remember our verbal joust. Packages are designed to meet your needs. Please contact me for details.
